吳彥希同學奪「2026 AIAT 港澳校際航空比賽」滑翔飛行挑戰澳門區冠軍
本校 F6B 吳彥希同學於 2026 年 7 月 10 日代表學校出戰「2026 AIAT 港澳校際航空比賽」(Aeronautical Inter-School Aviation Tournament),在「無動力滑翔飛行挑戰」(Glider Flight Challenge)中憑藉自主設計的機翼與水平尾翼,奪得澳門區冠軍!
本屆賽事專注考核學生的航空工程(Aeronautical Engineering)實務與氣動力學設計。在 Stage 1B 滑翔飛行環節中,大會採用由香港科技大學工學院(HKUST SENG)指導研發的標準化機械發射架(Mechanical Launcher),以一致的發射初速(最高 8 m/s)與固定角度排除人為發射變數,全面檢視滑翔機的純氣動力學性能。
參賽者須自主設計並製作機翼、水平尾翼及校準重心配重(Weight Distribution)。吳彥希同學及其團隊在三次發射機會中展現嚴謹的工程試驗成果,機體兼具結構剛性(Durability)與低阻力升力比,飛行姿態在俯仰(Pitch)、滾轉(Roll)及偏航(Yaw)各維度均展現極高穩定度,最終成功創下最遠滑翔距離,展現紮實的工程設計、原型製作與實務調校能力。
Ng Yin Hei Wins Macao Regional Championship at AIAT 2026 Glider Flight Challenge
On July 10, 2026, our student Ng In Hei(F6B) represented the school in the "2026 AIAT Hong Kong-Macao Inter-School Aviation Competition." Competing in the Stage 1B Glider Flight Challenge, Ng clinched the Macao Regional Championship by achieving the furthest flight distance with his custom-designed glider.
The competition rigorously evaluates students' practical aeronautical engineering skills and aerodynamic optimization. To eliminate human error and ensure a standardized benchmark, all gliders were launched using a dedicated mechanical launcher developed under the supervision of the School of Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST SENG), launching at speeds up to 8 m/s within designated angular bounds.
Participants were required to engineer and manufacture custom wings, horizontal stabilizers, and precisely calibrate weight distribution for pitch, roll, and yaw stability. Demonstrating rigorous structural durability and exceptional lift-to-drag efficiency across three launch attempts, Ng’s glider sustained the longest and most consistent glide path in the field. This achievement underscores our students' applied engineering capabilities and hands-on prototyping prowess.
