The Economics course is divided into three sections: Introductory, Intermediate and Advanced Economics. In Form 5A, we focus on the second section-Intermediate Economics.

The Intermediate Economics helps students’ ability to evaluate economic data in order to

make reasoned arguments.

The primary focus will be on improving the students’ abilities to demonstrate the application and evaluation of economic models as represented in written, numerical and graphical form. The course is in second year out of the three-year course.

As students’ progress through the course they are introduced to new ideas and concepts

while continuing to use and reinforce previously learned economics concepts and skills.

This Intermediate Economics is an appropriate foundation for the further study of Economics. It provides potential students for the supports and progression to study of the International Advanced Level (IAL) in Economics in Form 6A.
